British team confirms World Champion repeating last year success!
In a wonderful scenary as the Asiago plateau can offer in these two autumnal days, the British beat the Spaniards in a competition quite easy for the top teams. Even this time, like last year, the Spanish protested for five points given to Freixa for an uncorrect behavior of his minder. Being present when it happened , we can not say the observer was wrong: he just applied what the rules sanctions. Freixa (in this case Spain) probably paied for what every minder (more than one for the top riders) normally does in the World Championship. In third came Japon and in fourth Italy. We underlines the superb performance of British team, taking count of the last moment substitution of Steve Colley ( sick) with Ben Heminghway, good rider but still under the more quoted Steve. Unlucky the Japanese, because Taichi Tanaka broke the gear of his bike and even if it was fixed in 45 minutes, he had to five mostly sections of the first lap. Italian team started very well and after the first quarter of the competion , they were in second place! Great organization as tradition in Italy!
