Dopo un primo giro dove i piloti al vertice erano raggruppati in un fazzoletto d punti, fa un giro capolavoro, segnando meno della metà dei punti del secondo miglior risultato.La lotta era dunque per il secondo posto. Tre piloti finivano in due punti : sfortunato Fuji, che si beccava 2 punti per il tempo. Raga Cabestany, Fujinami era l'ordine.
