13/01/11-SPEA FIM World Championship: the Italian round.

The 2011 Grand Prix of Italy has been assigned to one of the oldest Italian club, among the first to work on Trials, the Domo ’70 from Domodossola. It will take place on the 9th and 10th of July.
The club was born in 1970, founded by Luigi Facchinetti and Giuliano Marini. The latter is known for having been one of the pioneers in Italian Trials. In 1972 he won the Interregional Championship, predecessor of the Italian Championship, which started 3 years later.
Because the particular morphology of its venue, close to Pennine Alps, in these forty years of work, Domo '70 cranked out champions and collected titles in every classes. Among the most blazoned names, here are Danilo Galeazzi and Donato Miglio. In lately years, belonging to Italian team and son of the club chairman Adolfo, Luca Cotone represents the star pf thr club nowadays. He is the former champion in the Italian class TR2.
But the tradition of growing up champions is not the only one flagship on which organizers could count, bacause every year they set up important competitions. On International field, they hosted a round of the European Youth Cup and Women Championship in 2008.
The main town of this time event is Montecrestese. The Start and the Paddock will be at Localita’ Pontetto, inside the town soccer pitch. Some sections will be into Isorno river, others in Masera town, localita' Cresta, then other 2 groups at Localita' Viganale and localita' Chiesa.
On Saturday it will be held the fifth round of the European Championship on the same loop.

Toccherà ad uno dei più vecchi moto club italiani, uno dei primissimi ad occuparsi di trial, il Domo ’70 di Domodossola, organizzare il gran premio d’Italia 2011, nei giorni 9 e 10 luglio.
Il club e’ nato nel 1970, fondato da Luigi Facchinetti e Giuliano Marini, quest’ultimo conosciuto come uno dei pionieri del Trial italiano, vincitore nel 1972 del campionato Interregionale, precursore del vero e proprio campionato italiano, nato poi nel 1975.
In questi quarant’anni di attività, il Domo’70, grazie alla particolare morfologia della sua collocazione, a ridosso delle Alpi Pennine, ha sfornato campioni ed incamerato titoli nazionali in tutte le categorie. Tra i nomi più blasonati Danilo Galeazzi e Donato Miglio. In tempi più recenti, il pilota azzurro Luca Cotone, figlio del presidente Adolfo, rappresenta l’attuale stella del club, tricolore nella categoria TR2.
Ma la tradizione di allevare campioni non e’ l’unico fiore all’occhiello su sui potrà contare il club organizzatore, impegnato ogni anno nell’allestire gare titolate di primo piano. In campo internazionale ha ospitato una prova di Campionato Europeo nel 2008.
Il comune dove si svolgerà la manifestazione e’ Montecrestese, con partenza e zona Paddock in Localita’ Pontetto all’interno del campo sportivo comunale. Il tracciato sarà; articolato con prove nel fiume Isorno, altre nel Comune di Masera, località Cresta, quindi ancora 2 gruppi a località Viganale e località Chiesa.
Al sabato e’ prevista la quinta prova del Campionato Europeo, sullo stesso percorso.
