10/06/11 - Grattarola topped at Parma's Indoor

Despite the bad weather which hit all the North of Italy in these days, in Garibaldi square of the town of Parma, on Friday 10th it did not rain, allowing the second round of the Indoor Italian Championship to be held regularly.
After a first preliminary phase, disputed in the afternoon, with 20 riders trying, the best ten started in the evening the real competition.
During the qualification lap, Grattarola, Challoner and Vaccaretti scored just 2 points and with Maurino, who scored 6, gained the right to reach the final. Not in good moment, Lenzi, beaten by Iolitta and Orizio, too, so distant from obtain a place for the final.
Grattarola, with 3 points, assured his first win indoor and now leads the overall standings. Second Challoner and third Maurino ahead of Vaccaretti.
