27/10/2011- Il nostro saluto a MARCO SIMONCELLI
We did not comment the tragic news of the death of the champion Marco Simoncelli, last Sunday.
We are among the many who did not meet him in person. We thought to let this duty to those were more close to him, they could better talk about him, his life, his habits, his thoughts.
We imagined him through what seen in his interviews on TV, or reading on magazines, or through his amusing commercials, or through his deeds on the motorcycle. We all soon found him likable straight away. Same feeling was inspired by people not so mad of motorcycling sport.
Moreover, we have to admit, those never-ending 45 minutes lived watching on TV Sunday morning, with hopes, then not come up, let us shocked, too.
Today it is doing his funeral and we want to address him a though, remembering the banner that his home-town friends made:
“GO TO THE SKIES AND TEACH THE ANGELS HOW DOING WHEELIES!" ”

Non abbiamo commentato la tragica notizia della scomparsa del campione Marco Simoncelli domenica scorsa.
Siamo fra i tanti che non lo hanno conosciuto personalmente. Ci sembrava che toccasse a loro, quelli piu’ vicini a lui nel quotidiano a dover parlare di com’era e come viveva.
A noi il personaggio ci era consentito immaginarlo dalle interviste televisive o rilasciate ai giornali, dagli spot pubblicitari, dalle imprese sulla moto. Una simpatia immediata aveva suscitato anche a chi il mondo del motociclismo lo vive solo parzialmente.
E poi, diciamolo pure, quei 45 minuti interminabili di speranze poi disattese davanti alla TV domenica mattina, hanno scioccato anche noi.
Oggi nel giorno del suo funerale, vogliamo rivolgere a lui un pensiero e ci piace molto l’augurio dei suoi amici del paese natale, letto su uno striscione:
“VAI IN CIELO ED INSEGNA AGLI ANGELI AD IMPENNARE!"
