Driven by a very close and personal cause, five friends - consisting of a multi World motorcycle champion, his manager, a builder, a plumber plus a progress manager - will suffer twelve days or so in the saddle as they pedal from Chorley to Nice and cover over one thousand miles to raise as much money as possible for a very special children's hospice - Derian House.
The one thousand mile journey to France will begin from Derian House in Chorley in mid August, with the initial test being the relatively short dash of one hundred and thirty miles to Hull, where the team will board the ferry bound for Zeebrugge in Belgium.
Once on the other side of the English Channel the route will take the squad south with the plan to arrive in Geneva, Switzerland a few days later. Here the landscape will change drastically as the guys then fight their way over the towering Alps before arriving in the French seaside city of Nice at the end of twelve or so extremely testing days.

The team's short lived pain to complete Pedal de Alps will be nothing compared to what some children and families endure, though will provide some funding for the vital care that is required in these unfortunate circumstances.

Spinti da una nobile causa per un problema che gli ha toccati da vicino, cinque amici, di cui un multi campione del mondo di Trial, il suo manager, un architetto, un indraulco ed un tecnico - soffriranno dodici giorni o piu' in sella per pedalare da Chorley (Inghilterra) a Nizza: piu' di 1600 km per raccogliere donazioni a favore di una Casa di Cura specializzata per malattie dei bambini - la Derian House.
Il viaggio di circa 1600 km iniziara' della Derian House in Chorley a meta' Agosto, con un tratto iniziale relativamente corto di poco piu' di 200 km per raggiungere Hull, dove il team prendera' un traghetto che lo fara' sbarcare a Zeebrugge in Belgio.
Una volta che il gruppo si trovera' dall'altra parte della Manica, il percorso pianificato prevede l'arrivo a Ginevra, qualche giorno dopo. Qui il paesaggio cambiera' drasticamente ed il team dovra' fronteggiare i passi Alpini, prima di guadagnarsi l'arrivo nella cittadina francese di Nizza, dopo almeno una dozzina di giorni di fatica estrema.
