20/04/19, Pau Martinez and Alex Brancati the first winners in Pietramurata

Spanish Pau Martinez (Vertigo) and Italian Alex Brancati (Beta) on top respectively in Youth and Women championship classes in Pietramurata, Italy, first round of the FIM Europe Trial Championship.

Dry terrain with the usual poor grip due to small rocks everywhere: this is the main feature of all the trials organized in the Trial Park of Pietramurata, and even this time sections resulted tricked for everybody.

Martinez - after a first lap of studying this different soil -got confidence enough to assure a clear victory, scoring almost half points of runner-up British Jack Dance (Gas Gas): 42 against 72. More uncertain the situation behind the new Spaniard star. An other British's, Ben Dignan (Gas Gas) ended in third , two marks more than Dance and ahead of many riders separated by smooth gaps.

Favorite Brancati started a bit nervous due to too much pressure on her, but soon she recovered from some mistakes done in the first sections to gain the leadership and to keep it until the end. Her best challengers where what we forecast: Norwegian IIngveig Hakonsen (TRRS) and German Theresa Bauml (TRRS), finished in second and third position. Hakonsen beat Brancati in the second lap (14 to 17 points), but because her worse first lap (27) she was only able to reduce her lead from the winner.

In the Youth International class, Italian Cristian Bassi (Beta) triumphed , four marks clear of the couple, Italian Dario Doglio (Gas Gas) and Polish Milosz Zyznowski (Beta). Between the young girls of the Women International, the best was French Naomi Monnier (Beta) who score just 9 points, a clear victory on Czech Petra Budinova (Beta) 24 and German Linda Weber (Beta).

Next Saturday the second round in Monza circuit.

Pau Martinez e Alex Brancati i primi vincitori a Pietramurata

Pau Martinez (Vertigo) e Alex Brancati (Beta) al vertice rispettivamente nelle classi Youth e Women championship in Pietramurata, Trento, prima prova del FIM Europe Trial Championship.

Terreno secco con il solito difficile grip per il ciottolato presente ovunque; ecco la caratteristica principale dei trial organizzati nel Trial Park di Pietramurata, e anche stavolta le zone hanno presentato trabocchetti per tutti.

Martinez – dopo un primo giro di studio - si è involato verso una vittoria netta, girando a quasi la metà dei punti del secondo classificato, l'inglese Jack Dance (Gas Gas): 42 contro 72. Più incerta la situazione dietro la nuova stella spagnola. Un altro inglese, Ben Dignan (Gas Gas) è finito terzo, due penalità in più di Dance , davanti a tanti piloti raggruppati in un fazzoletto di punti.

La favorita Brancati è partita male, forse troppa pressione su di lei, ma si è subito ripresa ed è passata in testa, rimanendoci fino alla fine. Le sue migliori antagoniste sono state, come avevamo previsto, la norvegese Ingveig Hakonsen (TRRS) e la tedesca Theresa Bauml (TRRS), che hanno terminato al secondo e terzo posto. La Hakonsen ha battuto la Brancati nel secondo giro (14 a 17 i punti), ma a causa del suo pessimo primo giro (27) si è solo potuta avvicinare alla vincitrice.

Nella classe Youth International ha trionfato Cristian Bassi (Beta), quattro punti in meno della coppia Dario Doglio (Gas Gas) e il polacco Milosz Zyznowski (Beta). Tra le giovani ragazze della classe Women International, la migliore è stata di gran lungo la francese Naomi Monnier (Beta) che ha girato a 9 punti, davanti alla ceca Petra Budinova (Beta) 24 e la tedesca Linda Weber (Beta).
