26/04/22 - Great start for the ASI Vintage Trial Trophy

The ASI Vintage Trial Trophy, acronym TATA, started last weekend from Cartignano, a small town at the beginning of the Val Maira in the province of Cuneo. The weather conditions did not scare the first 30 pioneers, certainly destined to increase because the conditions are all there. We saw the desire to recreate that amateur environment of the early years of the Italian Trial, in which the competitors were very close to each other, rivals yes but with the utmost willingness to help each other, sharing opinions on the passage improve.

The Moto Club Dragone and Val Varaita went beyond expectations by offering a unique welcome to all participants. Included in the registration fee was dinner on Saturday evening and abundant refreshments at the end of the race on Sunday, as well as a very rich award ceremony, thanks to the generosity of the Aimar family, who wanted to remember the tragic death - for the 14th consecutive year - of their beloved son Gabriel, offering 36 trophies.

Unfortunately, the weather conditions did not help, because on Saturday most of the riders had to run the entire race in the rain and on Sunday the ground was not dry enough to guarantee those low levels, an essential prerogative of this newly born Trophy. It was run in the huge Trial area permanently granted in these days

. But already from a post-event chat the foundations have been laid to be able to replicate in the coming year with some simple corrections. After all, it was the very first time for a championship, whose promoters hope to get closer to the large numbers of similar foreign championships.

The next appointment in Asiago on 16 and 17 July.

Partenza alla grande per il Trofeo ASI Trial Antico

Il Trofeo ASI Trial Antico, acronimo TATA, è partito lo scorso week-end da Cartignano, piccolo comune all'inizio della Val Maira in provincia di Cuneo. Le condizioni meteo non hanno spaventato i primi 30 pionieri, destinati sicuramente ad aumentare perchè i presupposti ci sono tutti. Si è vista la volontà di ricreare quell'ambiente amatoriale dei primi anni del Trial italiano, in cui i concorrenti erano molto uniti fra loro, rivali sì ma con la massima disponibilità ad aiutarsi l'un con l'altro, condividendo le opinioni sul passaggio migliore.

Il Moto Club Dragone e Val Varaita è andato oltre le aspettative offrendo un'accoglienza unica a tutti i partecipanti. Inclusa nella quota d'iscrizione vi era la cena del sabato sera e un abbondante rinfresco a fine gara di domenica, oltre a una ricchissima premiazione, grazie alla generosità della famiglia Aimar, che hanno voluto ricordare per il 14-esimo anno consecutivo la tragica scomparsa del loro amato figlio Gabriele, offrendo ben 36 trofei.

Purtroppo le condizioni meteo non hanno aiutato, perchè al sabato buona parte dei piloti hanno dovuto correre l'intera gara sotto la pioggia e alla domenica il terreno non è asciugato abbastanza per garantire quei livelli bassi, prerogativa inderogabile di questo neo nato Trofeo. Si è corso nella vastissima area di Trial concessa in modo permanente proprio in questi giorni.

Ma già da una chiacchierata post manifestazione si sono poste le basi per poter replicare nell'anno venturo con alcune semplici correzioni. Del resto si è trattato della primissima volta per un campionato, i cui promotori auspicano di avvicinarsi ai grandi numeri degli analoghi campionati esteri.
