28/08/22 - BOU WITHOUT RIVALS IN CAHORS, FRANCE, ROUND # 8

Toni Bou (Montesa) without rivals takes the third to last round of the 2022 Hertz Trial World Championship with authority and postpones, for only 4 points, to the Saturday race in Ponte di Legno, BS, the celebration of its 16th consecutive outdoor title.

Second time in Cahors, France, about 100km north of Toulouse, with sections almost indoor style: giant rocks in a disused quarry and a river bed studded with huge specially placed slabs.

With two laps where he left 6 points in each, he never left doubts about the outcome of this eighth challenge of the season.

On the contrary, behind him the fight was very fierce and with an uncertain result up to the last zone. On the podium Adam Raga (TRRS) preceded by 2 points , a magical Matteo Grattarola (Beta), guilty of a fiasco in the not impossible section 9 of the second lap, previously exceeded by one.

But like Grattarola, all the riders from second to sixth place often reversed their positions and only the last zone determined the final order. From 25 points let by Raga, to 27 by Matteo, then 28 errors for Gabriel Marcelli (Montesa), 30 Miquel Gelabert (GASGAS) and 32 by Jaime Bustò (Vertigo) who had finished second at the turning point, but the two final sections of the second round were fatal for him.

In Trial2 first success of the season for Sondre Haga (Beta) who thus legitimized his leadership. Runner-up place to Lorenzo Gandola (Beta) who led the classification at the halfway point. Third Arnau Farrè (Sherco).

Not easy debut for Kenichi Kuroyama (Yamaha) with the electric model TY-E 2.0, but the little time to train for change justified his poor performance, as the Japanese had just won on Sundau before the Osaka City Trial, valid for the Japanese National Championship, running with the usual faithful 4-stroke!

All decided for Trial3, with convincent victory and title for English Harry Hemingway (Beta).

Last two rounds in Ponte di Legno, North of Italy on 17th and 18th of September.

BOU SENZA RIVALI A CAHORS, FRANCIA, 8° ROUND

Toni Bou (Montesa) senza rivali si prende con autorevolezza il terzultimo round del Campionato del mondo di Trial Hertz FIM 2022 e rimanda, per soli 4 punti, alla gara del sabato a Ponte di Legno, BS, il festeggiamento del suo 16° titolo outdoor consecutivo.

Seconda volta a Cahors, in Francia, circa 100 km a nord di Tolosa, con zone molto stile indoor: rocce giganti in una cava in disuso e un letto di fiume costellato di enormi lastre appositamente posizionate.

Con due giri dove ha perso 6 punti in ciascuno, non ha mai lasciato dubbi sull'esito di questa ottava sfida della stagione.

Al contrario dietro lui la lotta è stata molto accanita e dal risultato incerto fino all'ultima zona. Sul podio Adam Raga (TRRS) ha preceduto di 2 punti il nostro magico Matteo Grattarola (Beta) , colpevole di un fiasco alla non impossibile zona 9 del secondo giro, precedentemente superata a uno.

Ma come Grattarola , tutti i piloti dal secondo al sesto posto si sono spesso invertiti i ruoli e solo l'ultima zona ha determinato l'ordine finale. Dai 25 punti di Raga, ai 27 di Matteo, quindi 28 errori per Gabriel Marcelli (Montesa) , 30 Miquel Gelabert (GASGAS) e 32 di Jaime Bustò (Vertigo) che aveva concluso secondo a metà gara, ma che le due zone finali del secondo giro gli sono state fatali.

Luca Petrella (GASGAS) ha terminato al dodicesimo posto.

In Trial2 primo successo stagionale per Sondre Haga (Beta) che ha così legittimato la sua leadership. Secondo Lorenzo Gandola (Beta) che guidava la classifica al giro di boa. Terzo Arnau Farrè (Sherco).

Gianluca Tournour (GASGAS) non si è ripetuto ma comunque è giunto al sesto posto. Al 15° Mattia Spreafico (Vertigo) e 16° Carloalberto Rabino (Beta).

Esordio in salita per Kenichi Kuroyama (Yamaha) con il modello elettrico TY-E 2.0, ma a suo discapito gioca il poco tempo per allenarsi al cambiamento, visto che il giapponese aveva appena vinto la domenica prima il City Trial di Osaka, valido per il Campionato Nazionale Nipponico, correndo con la solita fedele 4 tempi!

Giochi fatti per la Trial3, con vittoria schiacciante e titolo per l'inglese Harry Hemingway (Beta).

Gli italiani in gara: settimo Mirko Pedretti (Beta), 14° Giacomo Brunisso (Beta) e 19° Alessandro Ame (TRRS).

E ora tocca a noi, le ultime due prove saranno a Ponte di Legno, BS, il 17 e 18 settembre.
