17/07/22 - On Asiago plateau, new success for the ASI Vintage Trial Trophy

Second appointment for the ASI Vintage Trial Trophy, acronym TATA, in the splendid scenery of the Asiago plateau in the province of Vicenza, with two days of competition in the Trial Park of the Trial Altopiano Sette Comuni association.

Almost fifty riders - including the few with modern bikes - unanimously appreciated the loop – exhausting, all on trails - and the 10 sections to be repeated twice. The result of a great work of the local association which also made use of the experience in tracing of Gabriele Milan, a pioneer in the sector.

A generous refreshment at the end of each race day was offered by the organization to all riders, thanks to the collaboration with the Alpini Group of Gallio.

The perfect preparation of the individual sections with choreographic entrance doors, entirely in wood, gave a touch of class never seen in vintage Trial races.

The regularly authorized area has been operational since 2019 but what is surprising is the space that the members of the organizing association have been able to carve out among the most popular sports practiced in the mountains.

Seeing a brown road sign indicating the way to get to the Trial Park in the center of Asiago is an unprecedented victory for our sport, too often just tolerated. And the confirmation of the acknowledgment obtained by this ASD also came from the words of praise for the event, pronounced during the award ceremony by the Director with Delegation to the Heritage of the Municipality of Asiago, Diego Rigoni.

There is therefore tangible support for the practice of Trial and full acceptance of a repeat in the next year.

The TATA has added other participants and has been confirmed to be a group of pilots who manage to have fun, without ever underestimating the competitive commitment. The atmosphere is also “ancient”, very close to the Trials of the '70s.

We have reached the turning point, the next appointment will be in Folgaria on 10 and 11 September.

Sull'altopiano di Asiago, nuovo successo per il Trofeo ASI Trial Antico

Secondo appuntamento per Il Trofeo ASI Trial Antico, acronimo TATA, nello splendido scenario dell'altopiano di Asiago in provincia di Vicenza, con due giornate di gara nel Trial Park dell'associazione Trial Altopiano Sette Comuni.

Quasi una cinquantina di piloti - compresi i pochi con moto moderne - hanno apprezzato all'unanimità il percorso – sfiancante, tutto su sentieri - e le 10 zone controllate da ripetersi due volte. Frutto di un grande lavoro del sodalizio locale che si è anche avvalso dell'esperienza nel tracciamento di Gabriele Milan, un pioniere del settore.

Un generoso rinfresco a chiusura di ogni giorno di gara è stato offerto dall'organizzazione a tutti i piloti, grazie alla collaborazione con il Gruppo Alpini di Gallio.

Il perfetto allestimento poi delle singole zone con coreografiche porte d'ingresso, interamente in legno, ha dato un tocco di classe mai riscontrato in gare di Trial d'epoca.

L'area regolarmente autorizzata è operativa dal 2019 ma quello che stupisce è lo spazio che i soci dell'associazione organizzatrice si siano saputi ritagliare fra gli sport più popolari praticati in montagna.

Vedere un cartello stradale marrone che indica la strada per arrivare al Trial Park nel centro di Asiago, è una vittoria senza precedenti per il nostro sport, troppo spesso appena tollerato. E la conferma del riconoscimento ottenuto da questa ASD è arrivata anche dalle parole di elogio per la manifestazione, pronunciate in sede di premiazione dal Consigliere con Delega al Patrimonio del Comune di Asiago, Diego Rigoni.

C'è dunque un sostegno tangibile alla pratica del Trial e la piena accoglienza ad una replica nel prossimo anno.

Il TATA ha aggiunto altri partecipanti e si è confermato essere un gruppo di piloti che riesce a divertirsi, pur senza mai sottovalutare l'impegno agonistico. Di “antico” c'è anche l'ambiente, molto vicino ai Trial anni '70.

Siamo giunti al giro di boa, il prossimo appuntamento sarà a Folgaria nei giorni 10 e 11 settembre.
