14/05/23 - Grattarola unbeatable if the going gets tough

Second and third round of the Italian Championship in Civita Castellana (VT) in central Italy where the first round of the European Championship was held in 2011.

One-two without discussion for Matteo Grattarola (Vertigo) on hard sections - also due to the rain - for a championship that reached an all-time low with only 6 riders at the start on the second day of competition. Is it right to prepare the riders for the world championship or lose others discouraged by excessively hard sections?

Behind our unbeatable number one, Luca Petrella (Gas Gas) who preceded Gianluca Tournour (Sherco) by 2 points on Saturday, ahead of him until the last area. Petrella again on Sunday but Mattia Spreafico (Vertigo) finished on the podium for the first time.

In the Women's double triumph of Andrea Sofia Rabino (Beta) with Alessia Bacchetta (Gas Gas) twice second. Martina Gallieni (Scorpa) was on the third step of the podium on both days.

In TR2 double victory for Francesco Titli (TRRS).

Next appointment of only one day on 25/6 in Abetone (PT).

Grattarola imbattibile se il gioco si fa duro

Seconda e terza prova del Campionato Italiano a Civita Castellana (VT) nel centro Italia dove nel 2011 si era disputata la prima manche del Campionato Europeo.

Doppietta senza discussione di Matteo Grattarola (Vertigo) su zone dure - anche a causa della pioggia – per un campionato che ha toccato il minimo storico con soli 6 piloti al via nel secondo giorno di gara. Giusto preparare i piloti al mondiale o perderne altri scoraggiati da zone eccessivamente dure?

Dietro l'imbattibile nostro numero uno, Luca Petrella (Gas Gas) che al sabato ha preceduto di 2 punti Gianluca Tournour (Sherco) , davanti a lui fino all'ultima zona. Ancora Petrella domenica ma sul podio è finito per la prima volta Mattia Spreafico (Vertigo).

Nel Femminile doppio trionfo di Andrea Sofia Rabino (Beta) con Alessia Bacchetta (Gas Gas) due volte seconda. Sul terzo scalino del podio si è rivista in entrambi i giorni Martina Gallieni (Scorpa).

In TR2 doppia vittoria per Francesco Titli (TRRS).

Prossimo appuntamento di un solo giorno il 25/6 all'Abetone (PT).
