15/06/24 - BOU UNBEATABLE , GRATTAROLA SECOND IN CORTENOVA , ITALY

Toni Bou (Montesa) continues to impose himself, almost ridiculing his opponents even on the first day of the Italian event, held in Cortenova in Valsassina.

This time the best of his pursuers was Italian multiple national champion Matteo Grattarola (Beta) who lives not far from the venue. Gabriel Marcelli (Montesa) is still on the podium.

Very harsh sections, even more exacerbated by bad weather. The rain fell heavily before the race and then in spurts throughout the competition. The route is very well organized for the public with all 12 sections easily accessible on foot.

The Spanish champion had already gained a decent lead on the first lap (22 errors with 31) and then created a super masterpiece in the second lap, leaving only 2 points. Grattarola was still the most brilliant, behind the "Martian" and with 19 penalties he secured second place, ahead of Marcelli who lapped at 24.

Adan Raga (Sherco) held, grabbing fourth place, while Jaime Bustò (Gas Gas) recovered from a disastrous first lap and managed to climb back up to fifth position, after finishing the first lap in seventh.

Arnau Farrè (Sherco) wins the packed Trial2 – 41 riders – after a fierce battle with teammate Jack Peace with whom he shared the lead halfway through the race: 12 points. He made the difference in the second lap (11 to 18). Third was Billy Green (Scorpa) who managed to overtake his compatriot Harry Hemngway (Beta) and the current championship leader Alex Canales (Sherco), who finished in that order.

Another clear victory in Trial3 for George Hemingway (Beta). With two laps at 16 and 10 he clearly prevailed. Romeo Piquet (Beta) the best of the pursuers, but with 16 points more. On the podium Jonas Jorgensen (Beta).

BOU IMBATTIBILE, GRATTAROLA SECONDO A CORTENOVA, VALSASSINA

Toni Bou (Montesa) continua a imporsi ridicolarizzando quasi gli avversari anche nel primo giorno della tappa italiana , disputata a Cortenova in Valsassina.

Questa volta il migliore dei suoi inseguitori è stato il nostro pluri campione nazionale Matteo Grattarola (Beta) che vive non lontano dal luogo di svolgimento. Sul podio ancora Gabriel Marcelli (Montesa).

Zone molto dure, ancora più inasprite dal brutto tempo. La pioggia è caduta intensamente prima della gara e poi a sprazzi durante tutta la competizione. Molto ben organizzato per il pubblico il percorso con tutte le 12 zone facilmente accessibili a piedi.

Il fuoriclasse spagnolo si è guadagnato già un discreto vantaggio al primo giro (22 errori con 31) per poi realizzare un super capolavoro nella seconda tornata lasciando solo 2 punti. Grattarola è ancora stato il più brillante, dietro al “marziano” e con 19 penalità si è assicurato la piazza d'onore, davanti a Marcelli che ha girato a 24.

Tiene Adan Raga (Sherco) che agguanta il quarto posto , mentre recupera da un disastroso primo giro Jaime Bustò (Gas Gas) e riesce a risalire alla quinta posizione, dopo aver concluso la prima tornata settimo.

Arnau Farrè (Sherco) si aggiudica la fitta Trial2 – 41 piloti – dopo un'agguerrita lotta col compagno di squadra Jack Peace con il quale divideva la vetta a metà gara: 12 punti. La differenza riesce a farla nel secondo giro (11 a 18). Terzo Billy Green (Scorpa) che nel finale riesce a superare il connazionale Harry Hemngway (Beta) e l'attuale leader del campionato Alex Canales (Sherco), finiti nell'ordine.

Ancora una vittoria netta nei Trial3 per George Hemingway (Beta). Con due giri a 16 e 10 si è imposto in modo netto. Romeo Piquet (Beta) il migliore degli inseguitori, ma con 16 punti in più. Sul podio Jonas Jorgensen (Beta).
