Cabestany delivers his
crown to Raga, beating him in the last round!
Adam Raga is the new world indoor trial champion. The Gas Gas rider
completed the qualification lap and in that moment he took definitively
the title. Albert Cabestany, last year champion, won the competition,
beating Raga for 1 point. Japanese Takahisa Fujinami finished in third
place, taking his first podium in the season.
Dougie Lampkin surprised everybody finishing out of the final, having
collected three mistakes. Raga made the best score ( three points).
Seven for Cabestany, nine Freixa, one less than his teammate, Fujinami.The
eight sections were ridden in the reverse order in the final, except
section 3 and 6. The high jump and two double lane races completed
the circuit . Cabestany arrived with one point less thanRaga before
the races. The Beta's rider defeated the new champion in the first
double lane and, despite losing the second, the rider from Tarragona
clinched his third win in season. Nearly 200 people from Ulldecona,
home town of Raga , came by bus to support their rider in this great
day. About 5,000 people populated the Vistalegre Palace of Madrid.
